50 Questions that Will Free Your Mind...

These are questions that I came across randomly. They were not easy to answer...

  1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

Because sometimes asking the right questions is the answer.

  1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
    1. Late 20s early 30s. My career is getting started as well as my family.
  2. Which is worse, failing or never trying?
    1. Never trying
  3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?
    1. We do things that we don’t like because other people are doing them. Even if you aren’t one to follow a crowd I think part of it is inevitable.
  4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
    1. I hope not. I think we all would like to think that we are “doers”. I would like to see as much of the country and the world as possible.
  5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?
    1. Make the world a happier place to live, no more war, road-rage, fighting…
  6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?
    1. Physical therapy, first reason, being it is my current job, it is great to see people get better and they are extremely happy with results as well.
  7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
    1. At the current moment I feel as though I am settling. I do my best to keep myself challenged and to continue to learn and stay educated on current topics. I believe in what I am doing, I just don’t feel as though my talents are fully at use in my current position.
  8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?
    1. Travel more, love more, be more generous
  9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken?
    1. Realistically 50%. I do have a tendency to get comfortable in life and just live it.
  10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?
    1. Doing things right – if I do something, I want to be proud of it and make sure it is done right and will last.
  11. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do?
    1. Defend the friend. The people you are having lunch with likely don’t have the whole story and don’t know all parties involved. I would give them a chance to tell their story. Sometimes you just need a change of subject and agree to disagree.
  12. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be?
    1. Live your life fully, never regret doing anything.
  13. Would you break the law to save a loved one?
    1. Yes
  14. Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity?
    1. Not that I recall
  15. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
    1. Laugh, I think that everyone laughs differently. I love laughing and having a good time. Just start listening to everyone and you will notice the differences.
  16. How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy?
    1. Everyone is different. Some people really enjoy the cold weather where others enjoy the sun and warmth.
  17. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back?
    1. Rock-climbing, I am afraid that I am not going to be able to do it and let people down.
  18. Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?
  19. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?
    1. Italy, the culture, food, wine, and beautiful countryside

    1. Yes, no I don’t believe it makes it faster, sometimes I just want to make sure it connected.

    1. A joyful simpleton. Life is no fun when you are worried all the time.

    1. I am me because this is the way god made me. I am fun, crazy, analytical, clutzy, a runner, a friend, daughter, sister, wife,…

    1. I hope so, I try my best to be a good friend. Sometimes I can’t keep a
  24. Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you?
    1. Losing touch with a good friend that lives near by. This is something that many times feels like it can be prevented by I am coming to learn that sometimes people just change and friendship changes at the same time.
  25. What are you most grateful for?
    1. My health, I have been to too many funerals of people that die much too young.
  26. Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?
    1. Lose all of your old memories, it would be discouraging going through life and never remembering anything new you were seeing or experiencing.
  27. Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first?
    1. I don’t think so. If you are just accepting things as fact, how are you to know what is true and what isn’t?

    1. No, thank goodness…

    1. I remember a few times. And surprisingly no it doesn’t really matter. Life changes and your priorities change making things that were important to you 5 years ago almost irrelevant now.
  30. What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special?
    1. There are so many happy memories. It is probably just playing with my friend Abby and swimming. Things were so simple then and it didn’t take much to keep us happy.
  31. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
    1. Ziplining in Costa Rica, the speed, the wind through your hair, the cloud forest, and the view, it is hard not to feel alive in that.

    1.

    1. Yes, I had a friend in college we would do this. Sometimes this is just what you need, someone to be there with you.

    1. There are many opinions and interpretations of religion and many countries fight over who has the right one.
  36. Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil?
    1. I don’t think so, what is good and evil may vary from person to person. What is good for me, might not be good for you.
  37. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job?
    1. I would think long and hard about it. A million dollars is a lot of money but I don’t know if I could live off of it for the rest of my life.
  38. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?
    1. More work I enjoy doing. When you enjoy what you do it doesn’t feel as much like work.
  39. Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before?
    1. No, every day brings a new adventure.
  40. When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in?
    1. I don’t know if I have ever done this.
  41. If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today?
    1. My husband

    1. No!
  43. What is the difference between being alive and truly living?
    1. Being alive, is just living a breathing, truly living is enjoying the precious moments and taking advantage of the time we have and the opportunities that are given to us.
  44. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?
    1. When you come to a stand still in weighing the pluses and minuses, you just have to do it and you will know at that time if you made the right decision.
  45. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?
    1. No one likes to be wrong.
  46. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
    1. Dance in public ;)

    1. The other day when running

    1. Fresh food, I recently planted an herb garden to help increase my creativity in the kitchen.

    1. Blogging, or I just won’t remember it.
  50. Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?
    1. I would have to say both. This is a time in my life that I am starting to take charge of certain aspects of my life, however some parts other people have been making the decisions and I follow.
There are a lot of interesting questions that just make you really think. It makes me realize that there is more to life and you want to make sure you are really enjoying what you are doing and who you are becoming.
